About Pilsung
The Pilsung Youth Initiative is 501 (c)(3) public charity focused on providing martial arts training to underprivileged and at-risk youth and building new leaders through the confidence building skills that only the martial arts can provide. We work to improve the lives and give hope to underprivileged and at-risk youth through a variety of martial arts programs. The confidence building training and leadership skills changes their lives.
We partner with martial arts schools to remove financial barriers in order to provide families the opportunity to help their children both mentally and physically by enlisting the assistance from martial arts schools, communities and other charitable organizations through grants, donations and fundraisers at the national, local and individual levels. |
Volunteer
Every participating Pilsung school has an active group of volunteers who work to provide fundraising activities, seek donations and work with the schools and Pilsung to help youth and their families get assistance from the organization.
Request Assistance
Every recipient, member school and volunteer works in harmony to make sure each qualifying youth who earns assistance through the foundation is provided the same training as every other member of the member school.
Member schools, as a requirement to participate in the Pilsung Youth Initiative, are required to give a significant discount in dues to the Foundation and recipients. Only professional, accredited schools are allowed to participate. Each family receiving assistance is required to participate on some level toward their training. And each Board Member, Assistance Director and fund-raising volunteer is truly a volunteer without pay. |
